On March 25, CCPIT and the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office organized Jieyang New Energy, Huachang Textiles and related personnel to Beijing to attend the Ethiopia-China Business Forum of the "Lighting up the Countryside" program. Shi Feng, Secretary-General of the Ethiopia-China Friendship and Cooperation Committee, gave a special introduction to the unique investment opportunities in Ethiopia and the major project in Ethiopia that the committee is responsible for - the Ethiopia "Lighting up the Countryside" program.

It is understood that the "Lighting up the Countryside" plan is based on the construction of electricity for farmers without electricity or electricity shortage in rural areas of Ethiopia, driving the electrification of living and production tools in the entire agricultural and rural areas of Ethiopia. At the same time, the entire transaction structure is completed by using Ethiopian agricultural, forestry, animal husbandry, fishery and mineral products as a means of payment and the Chinese central enterprise platform as the settlement party for both parties.

The project will form three consortia: "supply consortium", "purchase consortium" and "service consortium". In the specific implementation, the Egypt-China Friendship and Cooperation Committee and large central enterprises such as China National Petroleum Corporation and China National Building Materials Corporation jointly select products and conduct preliminary screening. Luo Dong, member of the Party Leadership Group and vice president of the Municipal Chamber of Commerce, said: "This project is of great significance in helping our city's enterprises to explore the Ethiopian market in Africa.
